Hello Folks,
I have the CT26E dust extractor. I just purchased the complete boom arm set (the boom arm, dust extractor handle, the tool holder and support bracket{for the new type CT26E}) from Lee Valley. I also Purchased the Oneida Ultimate Dust Deputy to go with the CT26E. Now, being Christmas time I am busy as many of you are. So before getting into any of it. Do any of you have the same and is it a big problem to incorporate the Ultimate DD with this boom arm assembly? This is something that I would like to put it together and leave it.

Regards,
Dan

Dan,

I have the CT22, Boom arm and Ultimate DD. The DD was the most recent acquisition and has been installed now for several most. I encountered no issues during installation nor usage. No conflict with Boom arm.

I've got a 26 with boom and workstation + another 26 with UDD + boom.  works no problem.

Hey Guys,
At first it seems like the hose that comes with the UDD is too short and the only way to use it properly is with the elbow that connects to the vacuum side of the UDD. It definitely won't work without the elbow. Would you guys kindly send some photos of your setup please? I am wondering what to do with securing the hose that comes with it.

Here ya go! Pardon the grey non-anti-static hose I also use my UDD for general cleanup and got this extra long grey hose for that. I hooked uo my UDD just the way the instructions state. My sealing strip they sent was about 2ft too short. I sent them an email and had extra sealing strip for UDD within two days. Good people to deal with.

Hello Jack,

Thanks for the pictures. I did manage to get everything assembled and connected. The only thing left to do is to install the power cord on the boom and the grounding for the antistatic. Once I get that done then the only thing left is to try the thing out. Incidentally, I was sheeting in my woodworking shop when I got the flu. Then that developed into Bronchitis. It was then that I went online and ordered a new jigsaw, the complete boom arm assembly, the UDD and a vacuum kit with the hose and connections. The idea is not to save on bags but to minimize the amount of dust that gets to the CT26. I am sure this will do the trick. I appreciate your help.

Regards,
Dan
