CT Boom Arm Tool Holder - Is it worth it?

I bent over and bought the set.  I feel more relieved after watching the sales videos with the guy dragging the cord and vac hose behind the saw.  That looks like a huge hassle.

Thanks for the responses!

It wouldn't have been an effective sales video if dragging the hose was convenient :)  Lemme guess, the hose then dragged across the workbench surface and knocked over the user's beer (Festool is, after all, German...)

I only have 2 tools with the plug it cord.  Neither one of those is the same cord.

It would be a pia for me to use it with the cords.

The heavier gauge cord fits both type tools with the Plug it.

I know, I just never take the cord off my ts-55.  All the darn tools I buy are the one's with regular cords.

Where was the plug-it for the Kapex?  [big grin]

5star, you like the boom arm?  Move it around or leave it set up.  I keep thinking I want it but, it looks like a hassle to move.

I should buy a new vac later this year just for the boom arm.  That makes sense, right? [big grin]

Warner, i set up the boom arm twice so far, i dont have a shop as i am mostly on the go! but half of the boom arm set up stays on the vac, like the handle! I got it as a package deal when i bought my ct33 off craigslist the vac and boom arm were practically brand new ;D

if you are not using it for suction you can make it out of 2.5" conduit something like this

then hang your tools on it like this

and make a gate box like this [eek]  [jawdrop]

as for the outriggers i find them completely useless
