Following up on an earlier post, I settled on a midi vac but now I have a hose question. I’m going with the festool vac to improve on my shop vac but mostly so I can get a festool sander down the road. I also have a domino and a makita tracksaw that I plan to use plus whatever else I may get in the future but this is to be used primarily at a bench/ fixed location in my shop. I made a home-made boom arm fixed to wall near my bench and I figure I need about 18’ of hose to route the hose to the farthest I expect to use it.
It seems to me I should get the 3.5m 36mm anti-static sleeved hose to go with the hose that comes with the midi. It’s longer than I need but I don’t see any shorter options. I could also get the smaller diameter but figure the bigger hose allows more configurations, for example it might work better with a tracksaw if I don’t use the boom arm and just use the 36 mm hose.
Am I thinking correctly here? Is there something else I should be looking at?
