CT22 wheels

Maybe it's just me, but why can't they put four swivel casters on the CT22 vac instead of just two?  I work in a small shop and it would be really great to be able to push or "spin" the thing in any direction.  

And while we're on the subject, why the all-plastic wheels?  There are so many good, heavy-duty casters out there with metal wheels and urethane tires...

I prefer the bigger wheels, if they change them to all casters I won't be able to stack a whole bunch of systainers on top and lean the tower back to cart around jobsites.

Me too. I would prefer them to be of a better quality though. If you cart it around on the street, it doesn't feel comfortable AT ALL.

I believe that I heard / read somewhere that the Festool engineers chose the wheel material because it won't pick up debris and risk scratching floors like a softer material could.

That could be Peter but if do much driving on concrete the wheels, because they are a harder plastic get nicks or burrs that can scratch a floor. Dose anyone know if the wheels on the new CT26/36 are the same material?

No way on the four swivel wheels! That would just be a drag moving around on the sidewalk/into a job. I like the wheels just the way they are. Brakes could be mounted a bit higher though. I have a drywall cart with 4 swivel casters what a pain in the ass. I keep saying I'm going to change 2 but never get to  it. Speaking of casters, does anyone need some? I have some extra. Very nice heavy duty, 3" wheels I think. If anyone is interested let me know and I will take a pic. You pay for shipping a their yours.

I was also a little dissapointed about the wheel material when I got my ct22.
After 5 years of rolling around on a concrete floor, I'm impressed. I need to give the Festool engineers credit, good chioce of materials.

Since my tools are kept in a seperate room, I would guess the vac will travel 20' or more each time it's used, adds up after a while.
