Apparently Dewalt is bringing out a router "system" with some kind of "plug-it" power cord.  Not compatible, offcourse...
System, Plug-it, and we're not talking about Festool, somebody is keeping an eye on the competition.

That has been out about 5 years in the US. One reason I have 5 of them! Actually, I had those before I ever had a Festool. I have the DeWalt cords set up on my Festool Boom Arms with the Festool cords right next to them.

The dust collection that goes straight up is awesome as well and for me these DeWalt's work better then the OF1010. They are my go to routers after the OF1400 and the routers are cheap enough to dedicate them to jigs, the reason I have so many. I have twice as many bases and always keep on the lookout for the bases cheap on eBay or Amazon. The router slipping out and the cheap cost is a great advantage when you need to switch jigs, but want a nice stable base made for the router. I never had one break down either and I abuse the crap out of them.

Yeppers, those are either DW616s or DW618s... I have 1 of the former and 3 of the latter...
Good little routers.  618 was on sale recently at Rockler for $144... was tempting...

Pros:
They're a lot easier to turn and "lock"

Cons:
They have three holes and it can take a few tries to get the two big pins into the correct holes...
