Was looking for a top bearing router bit with a wide (thick) bearing.
All the bits seem to have something with a 1/4" face that rides against
the template. Is there something in the 1/2" range or is there a bit that
will allow two bearings to be stacked together to form a wider surface?

You'll ask why would you need that but I can't go into detail yet.

Stack two bearings or look for a bearing with the i.d. and o.d. you want in the height you want.

Either way make sure you have enough collet purchase on the shaft.

UltraTrim™ Solid Carbide Spiral Trim Router Bits w/ Double Ball Bearings  - google this...I buy all my router bits and saw blades thru
toolstoday.com or routerbitworld.com

Thanks everyone. I went there and found what I think will work.

Hope what you found works for you.  I also buy all the blades that I use in my 55, 75, and HKC from Toolstoday...AGE.
