Guys help!
I recently purchased a used but looks like ok Festool XL Domino from a surplus store...i did check if the motor is ok and see the side to side movement of the mortising bit...but at hindsight, the speed wasnt good and relatively low and definitely less than 20k rpm...but i guess this probably is the rpm for a bigger bit..
to my dismay, the tool wont make a mortise and would wobble and vibrate perhaps due to the low rpm (i guess around 4k only comparing it a drill at high speed).
btw i have the smaller domino df 500 and compared the two..the speed is definitely wont make a mortise!
from my experience, the variable speed selector when it mulfunction, you will be left with the max speed and lost the lower speeds..but this tool has a fixed speed and i wonder what went wrong.
any suggestions on my next move? thanks a lot to all!
