hi there.
i nocked this up today. the dremel has been one of those tools that just doesnt want to go back into the box and as soon as it is in you realise you need it again.
anyway after seeing seths solution i came up with my own

sorry something funny is going on.

anyway. there isa a removable section for the cutters etc. it is supported on dominoes.
under that is used for holding accesories. the front section holds the flexible shaft (cable tied together) and a few fences etc.
the dremel is in the back section ready to be pullled out and used. the cord has plenty of space to be just thrown in and the dremel holds it there

Looks great ! Like the double layer center box. That is a good way to keep that flex shaft under control.

lots of different jobs. mostly sanding  edges in aqward plaaces and insides of holes.
i havent used any of the brushs etc yet.

The project makes me wonder how many dozens (hundreds?) of uses for Domino tenons are used for aside from joinery???   [eek]

Actually this is exactly what the Domino is advertised as doing: "loose" joinery - the trays sit loosely on the dominos...

probably hundreds of uses.
they seem to work perfectly for this. it is much faster than routing a slot and putting in a piece

nice mod Alan,
i happened to buy a dremel 4000 and a fein multimaster 2 weeks ago, and but them buth in the same sys 1 with lid compartment.
I don't have an extended range of accs, so they all fit loosely in the lid compartment, and both tools fit nicely below. Came in real handy last week when i installed some stair thread covers.
I plan on making a proper inner division insert, i will certainly steal some ideas here.
