Hi All,
Looking to purchase the Dust Deputy DIY kit and attach it to a 60 litre(13 Gallon) drum. It will be used in conjunction with my CT22. I have the re-usable bag which I have been using up until now, more for on site work than in the shop. More recently I have started to use the CT22 with my thicknesser and doing a lot more work in the shop . As a result the bag fills up very quickly. The most obvious solution would be to spend big $$ and buy a static system for the for the shop. I don't have the dollars to do this instead just purchased the Domino XL!! ;D The major issue I can see is the time for the pressure to build up using such a large storage unit(60 litre drum). Has anyone else done something similar?

.............So I purchased the DIY Dust Deputy($75 AUS). 60 Litre drum $6!...........looked pretty basic but what the heck i looked at the instruction leaflet. The usual blah blah.......but page 16 was interesting! see "attach in parallel diagram". Two deputy's double the CFM. Now thats interesting!! [eek]

This might help us guys with small............dust extractors! [laughing]

........So it looks as though I should have bought the Multi Cyclone DIY Dust Deputy Kit!!....and yes there is such a kit. See below

I bought the Ultimate Dust Deputy to sit right on top of my Ct22 and it works great.  It's portable and takes up a lot less space than individual components.

Not to nitpick but two deputies don't double the CFM, they split what is available (when in parallel) or just refine the process(when in series). It's a great marketing strategy, though.

I don't see that they state the CFM to be doubled, but "increased". I take it that they mean increased in comparison with the serial setup. The numbers on the image says that they split what is available.

Your right not double [embarassed]. I dont now how it could increase either? Anyway I have sent an email to the supplier requesting more info. Don't use a plastic drum either. They just implode! Will have to track down a steel one
