I want to epoxy a counter I finished and would like to see what products members have used and their pros and cons.
This counter will be used in a laundry room and wanted a durable finish.

West System all the way.
They have the most experience (for wood) of all suppliers.
Remember to use a few layers of an UV filter varnish on top.

I have used 2-pack automotive clear on the top for the UV blocker.

I have used System 3 and West epoxies with great results.  They are both versatile with different hardeners to adjust cure times.  However, I recommend NOT using Glazecoat from Famowood. In 4 uses, I've had a cure problem 3 times.  In all three cases, the epoxy never hardened completely.  I was left with permanently-tacky finishes.  One project went into the woodstove, the other two I was able to scrub clean with acetone and several scotchbrite pads.

So let the west systems cure, sand with 220.
Spray with a UV 2-pac (k=like I do ), or varnish.

West Systems also makes a "clear hardener #207", which is said not to have an inherent yellowing or blushing effect.

105/207 has strong physical properties, so it can be used as a structural adhesive for gluing and l aminating. It has excellent compatibility with paints and varnishes. An ultraviolet inhibitor in 207 helps provide a beautiful, long lasting finish when used with quality UV filtering varnish. 105/207 cures clear and colorless.
