It looks brand new!  [smile]

All of my tools look that way.  [big grin]

(Truthfully, the photos were taken a few years ago, when it was new)

Fein here in the US for a period of time marketed the Multi-master in infomercials.  Just in case those international members don't have those, infomercials are paid programming that use spokespeople to demonstrate tools and exalt  their benefits over a half hour or so of time.  These "endorsements" frequently happened when cable television had slack time and then sold exposure at a discounted rate because of lack of viewage.  That is why many consider the Multi master to be a homeowner tool (DYI) versus a professional tool.

To add what Peter says, a large number of those infomercials promote somewhat low grade products i.e. the Popeil Pocket Fisherman  [smile].

I had one of those as a kid!  My grandfather gave it to me.  My only memory of using it was being at the local city park lake trying to fish when a gentleman came up and asked:

"Can I talk to you a moment?"
"Um, sure" I replied.
"I want to tell you about Jesus..."

As a polite child I didn't know how to extract my from the conversation gracefully, so I could return to fishing.  He went on for a long long time.

I did some research on this a few years ago and decided on the MultiMaster.  If I remember correctly, I can buy the MM blades in small quantities, but the SC blades have to buy in larger quantities.  The SC blades were more expensive too.

Again, IIRC, aside from more power, the SC oscillates in a slightly wider arc, thus speeding the cut.
