I just purchased the T-18 to go along with my CXS drill and also bought the Centrotec Installers kit with the Imperial drill set and a spare set of Zobo drills.

Now I see the Fastfix Depth Stop Chuck and wonder if I should buy it and give up the age old practice of putting blue tape on my drill bits for depth setting?

Anybody care to offer their experience with the Festool 493539 Fastfix Depth Stop Chuck for Festool Drills?

Thanks,

Jack

The depth stop is useful for attaching drywall and having the screws set at a consistent depth. I find it works very well on small to medium sized projects. Anything more then a few sheets I use a senco auto feed gun.

Yes, it's for driving screws like a dedicated screw gun not for use with drill bits or other types of driver bits.

Thanks Seth, that's was I was looking for.

A nice point about the depth stop is that it allows you to remove a screw without messing up your depth setting.  That is unusual and so helpful.
