Hi there.

I got hold of a polycrystalline diamond blade to cut a heap of cement sheet and I was stunned by how easy and quickly the cuts went not to mention lack of dust. My previous way was to use an angle grinder or circular saw with a masonry blade which wore out fairly regularly. Watch the video if you want to, I tell you the name of the blade, show you the packaging and also the blade in use in my TS55 on a real job that I was doing. Also, the dust deputy cyclone is brilliant! Hardly any dust went through to the dust extractor.

One of the things about this blade in comparison to other diamond blades is that it collects the waste in a similar manner to the blades for timber. Correct me if I am wrong, but it is my understanding that most diamond blades have the diamond on the side of the blade and act as a grinder which throws the waste off to the side, not as much in a forward direction as this blade does.

I do these videos because I like to share my experiences.

Is that a Festool blade or Aftermarket?  If the former, it certainly is NAINA.

There are several CMT blades that fit Festool saws for cutting cementitious products.

I believe it's the first blade shown below. Available ONLY in Australia, not even available in Germany. As Brice noted, our choice is limited to CMT.

The Festool rep for our area was telling me how there is a special diamond aftermarket blade that granite companies are using to rough cut their granite. He said they use the 75 and only get a one year warranty. A local granite dealer came in while I was test driving the ETS EC and he was trying to sell him a 75 for that purpose. I still would be pretty intimidated to try that but supposely it cuts like butter.

These kind of diamond blades are also sold by Mafell.
Type Ø160x20-Z4 (092474) with a pricetag of €290 incl.VAT.

I use the CMT blade, cuts plaster, cement board, fiber cement siding very easily.

Tom stocks the CMT blade. Do a search here, you'll find a few posts on the blade.
