Ok, opinions please!

I've got a large refurb project to do in new year with a fair bit of oak cabinetry and joinery. Before now I've either used cam & dowel services from local companies or had local bench joiners make stuff for me.

Then I saw the domino! I've got a couple of decent sized bespoke joinery jobs lined up for the new year and a load of custom oak kitchen doors to make so can justify the cost of the domino on these jobs.

Just can't decide which dust extractor to get. Thinking the midi as I only ever use plunge saw, router etc in light quantities at any time.

Wanted opinions on both the extractor choice and any owner reviews of the domino. I definitely feel like I will produce better projects once I have the domino.

Cheers.

Any of them will work, but you have to use a vac. I use an old Craftsman but it sucks not having the tool turn it on. The midi will be fine, it's small so it's easy to tote around on jobsites.

Yeah, bags are fairly cheap, or you could add in a dust collector before the vac and save the bags - dust deputy or whatever it's called in the UK.

You will not look back after buying a domino. Best thing of Festool's I have owned.

If you avoid biscuits, them Your other choice is a round dowel.

The smaller vac is easier to move/carry.

I use a Midi with an Oneida Festool Dust Deputy in the shop and a CT26 onsite.  That being said, I love the Oneidas, I have three of the steel versions...on my table saw, on my 64" XC 101" cutting table, and one for my chopsaw.  Crazy as this sounds, these are three different locations.

I agree the Domino is a total game changer in my woodworking. Any of the Festool vacs are perfect compliments to the Domino. All their vacs have the same airflow.. The only differences are size and capacity. The Dominos produce more debris than one would expect. If you watch YouTube videos on the Domino by Halfinchshy, you can save a lot of time on the learning curve.

Yes, I spent many an evening watching Half Inch Shy before I purchased. On the bright side, it did let the missus sort of know it was on the way eventually.
