Festool Reconditioned Tool Sale

If you Google the Festool part number you can find the info on what it came stock with , including the Systainer.

Thinking about a second vacuum for the Kapex.  Seem to remember that all of the motors are the same and the difference is the canister size.  So, how about a Mini/Midi dedicated to the Kapex?

I'd like to mention that I can't guarantee whether the MINI/MIDI units being sold as reconditioned units have the newer, upgraded motor or not. It would be best to assume 99 CFM and be pleasantly surprised if you got the 137 CFM motor. Although there are no markings to tell the difference.

If you do a search on the forum, there are some threads about using the smaller CTs with the Kapex.

Just received my recon ts75  [big grin] The only way I can tell it was used was a bit of dust on the blade, everything else is perfect! I can't wait to use it!

I couldn't resist getting something else so I just ordered an ets125 and a t12 set  [blink]

Hey Shane will the MIDI mini Vacs come with a 27 mm hose and hepatitis filter?

27mm hose, yes. We don't have a filter for hepatitis and I would recommend you stay away from it.  [poke] I can't guarantee whether it will have a HEPA filter, but it's very likely. There's nothing to differentiate these from the non-HEPA units, which ended production in mid-summer of last year. I would believe that the majority, if not all, of these are the newer units. But, again, I can't guarantee that.

LOL thanks Shane. Apparently my smartphone doesn't hike the word HEPA  and had to spell correct it

When did the 137 cfm mini/midi units start production?  Trying to weigh my odds of getting the higher CFM units

Shane posted above that the new motors started Mid-Summer 2011.

I already heard that a FOG member received a 6 year old CT mini that looked very used with gouges, scrapes and scratches, but that's the cosmetics at 30% off. Those are the chances you take for a discount.

Wow, I'm not sure I'd feel good about that "deal".  First it has the older turbine with lower CFM, add to that the 30% off is probably pretty darn close to what it retailed for six years ago...

EDIT: I suppose I'll hold off final judgment until this is all sorted out.

Ken, who was this FOG member, I'd like to reach out to them? Feel free to PM that information to me if you don't want to make it public. Thanks.

Edit: I could only find one FOG member who ordered a CT MINI at 30% and it was Jalvis and he said it was in exceptional condition. I just want to make sure people are happy with their purchases and take care of this issue.

So, Ken sent me the name of the customer, who isn't a regular forum member after all, he has one post and had communicated with me privately in the past.

Interestingly, this was being handled already privately through his dealer, Tom Bellemare. He had no idea who Ken even is. So, I'm not sure how Ken became involved in the process. Furthermore, he had explicitly said that he did not want this posted on the forum because he wanted to give us an opportunity to address it with him, despite the recommendation from Tom to do so.

For anyone reading the forum, Ken is not a representative of Festool and cannot help you with any issues. If you have an issue with a product, please contact me directly.

At any rate, the situation will be addressed between Festool and the customer now.

I got a RO 150 in T-loc on the recon sale, the T-Loc green cover is missing is that something I just have to live with or is there a possibility I could get one sent to me even tho it was recon item...

I think that would fall within the guidelines of a 20% tool, which was roughly $100 less than a new tool. Hopefully, that doesn't come across the wrong way, but if the cover missing was the only thing that kept the tool from being like new, I would personally find that to be a good value.

"20% Discount Level. - Slightly used tools. Original packaging with slight impairment (damaged, labeled and /or dirty)."

If you'd like, you could order a T-LOC handle cover from our service department and I would expect the cost to be very low, maybe a few bucks would be my guess. Their phone number is below in my signature and on your tool.

Thanks,
Shane

Just for anyone thinking of ordering a %off CT I'd like to throw in some positive news. I ordered a CT22 at 30 off. The unit has a few scratches and scuffs here and there which is what at least I would expect. Definitely not perfect cosmetically. However, it also doesn't look like its been beat up on a jobsite either.
More importantly though, the inside, guts, hose, filters, motor assembly, everything flawlessly clean. No issues whatsoever, which is what I think most of us would expect from Festool as a company. The CT works great and is now the 'permanent' vac for my Kapex. As mentioned in another post, I wouldn't say anyone needs to worry about the quality level of the tool they will get during the Recon sale.

Bump. I want everyone to have the chance to take advantage of this since it's a limited time deal.

Here's a real-time list of tools available. It will continue to update every time the page is loaded.

I want to say how happy I have been with my Festool purchases, particularly regarding this sale. I picked up two routers and couldn't be happier with the condition. :D;D:-*

Let me clarify on what Bob just said. We (Festool) are required to collect sales tax in any state where we have a nexus (basically an employee based). Since the reconditioned tool orders are being drop shipped, we are required to collect this tax by the state. Bob's list is not complete due to some recent additions of employees in other states. Here is the complete list. Also, the oversized items are charged $25 per item for shipping and include: all versions of the MFT, all versions of the CMS, SysPort, CT 48, and Kapex. Realize that some of these oversized items are not currently available, but may be at some point in the future.

I suppose I should have included this in my original post. Sorry about that.

From what I understand, this requirement is for tools that are dropped shipped from Festool.  Any future considerations regarding collecting taxes on tools shipped from dealers?
