I have a new cleanex ct 36ac and when we use our hand held sanders and the are plugged int the vac itself we are feeling electric shocks when using sanders. Please help us with what could be causing this. Thanks.

Are you using a green and black hose or a grey hose? ... are you in fact using a Festool hose?

The green and black Festool hoses are anti-static. This the the correct hose to use for sanding ... make certain it is correctly seated both ends.

Also, what are you sanding?

Welcome to the forum. Sorry that you're having static issues with the CT AC. In addition to the questions already posted, can you verify that you're not covering the ground connections on the CT with the plastic liner? Check out the 0:55 mark of the video below to see what I'm referring to. These connectors must be left exposed to maintain continuity for the anti-static hose.

Also, can you tell us if you're using an Oneida Dust Deputy? There's been a documented issue with static build up on these in the past.
