WOW ! What a great bunch of guys.

OK, let me explain. I was running late for work and posted my question rather hurriedly and didn't give full information. I've had my vac ant saw for 8 to 10 years now. The port on my saw is square and the hose is round. Never having connected the vac to the saw before I wasn't sure if it need an adapt0r or not.

I use my saw very little, I still have the original blade on it.  I don't do a lot of field work and I have a Felder slider in the shop so the TS55 mostly sits in it box.  I finally have a need to make some cuts in a house and so the quick question on how to connect it to the saw. Ya, I finally figured out you just have to force a round peg into a rectangle hole.

To the guy from the UK, I hope everyone in the UK is not like you.

To Rick, thanks for trying to help.

thats the aft55 not ts55 try asking the right question in the first place and you won't get answers like that.

+1

Wasn't my answer informative enough? Because if we were really talking about the TS 55 all what you needed to know was right there.

You're not being fair. As far as we knew, your question was as basic as "How do I tie my shoes". If you own a saw for 8 or 10 years, make sure you know it's an ATF 55 and not a TS 55 as you wrongfully imformed us. We got nothing else to go on but the characters you type.

well said.

OK,  I get it now. On this forum If one makes a mistake or inadvertently post incorrect information is ok to call them stupid.

I'll be on my way now, thank again for the pleasant conversion.

i dont think any one said you were stupid.

is there a flandge all the way round the port so you could put a dubeli clip on it. if so you could get a short piece (6")of a 36mm hose and dubeli clip it on, then put a 36mm hose end on  the 27mm hose will then push into that.

Richard, how are we to know if you have made a mistake till you posted that the port was square? and a picture. it is then that I pointed out that its not the ts55 hence why all the obvious answers and sarcasm. I've even posted a link with a picture of it connected up for you, Did i need to go looking for that? No. but i did anyway

Sorry I wasn't around to help with this thread.  I have been driving for ten hours and will be doing some housecleaning on this thread.  In the meantime, I will lock this thread.
