FOG app for smart phones

Do you think that there is much demand (besides me) for an app for our smart phones.
I think it would be cool and useful.
Would anyone else like to see one ??

iphone users are using tapatalk as I understand it. I view the desktop version on my phone and don't see the need for a special app. What exactly are you looking for?

I use Tapatalk and I honestly do not like it. It is a pain to use.

I second the App idea.

I've grown to like Tapatalk a lot. I hated it at first. It was simply because I didn't like the generic layout that it uses, but I enjoy it now and can post from my iPhone & iPad which I'm usually close to either and much further from my comp!

See if Kreg chimes in on this...he is a recent purchaser of the app!

I used Tapatalk on my iphone just once on this forum and it turned me off enough to just go to Safari and use that on the phone.  The computer experience seems so much better.

I use Tapatalk and think it gets better and better. Especially if you follow several forums like I do. It's taking a little getting used to, though.

Wow ,  I guess I'm way behind I have never heard of Tapatalk.
I wish I knew how to develop an App but then I have never tried...
I usually keep the Fog on my Iphone safari page and when I got to it it renews the screen. I think its fun once in a while to stay in some conversations but then it slows me down if I'm in my shop. Most of all I usually talk about the projects that I am working on and appreciate the feedback.

+1 Tapatalk. The only thing I don't like is once you've viewed a thread it gets harder to find again. For occasional use it's fine.

If there's a thread I want to follow, I just subscribe to it and then I can go into my profile and find it under "favorites".

The FOG could also be cool as a mobile version similar to the Tool Nut site!

I use Tapatalk on my Android phone and it is money well spent.  I can't see how browsing a forum on a smart phone web browser could possibly be any easier than using Tapatalk.  No more having to zoom in and out to be able to read.

Nugg's try the Opera browser for viewing webforums. It zooms easily and intuitively and is free on the market.

Zooming with the Dolphin browser is easy enough, but with Tapatalk I don't  need to worry about zooming in and out - that's the beauty of it.

thats fair enough I just find tapatalk too stripped down sometimes and prefer the original version. Opera is better than Dolphin btw  [big grin]
