You haven't been mentioning him in one of your videos Peter? Perhaps he misunderstood a comment about dogs and took it as a slur on his culinary choices.  :o

No, I did not mention his food or even wives at all.

It is taking me about 3 minutes just to log on, then waiting between message is really slow.  Bill

I know if doesn't help you, but it's working fine for me. Whatever the problem is, it's apparently somewhat localized.

Let's unpack the word localised - Australia, United Kingdom and The Netherlands. Oh! Apparently North Korea too!  [eek] [big grin]

WOW, I see you cannot spell localised.  [big grin] [big grin] [big grin]
[size=10pt]Its OK, I know the Z for S is a NA thing.  [eek]

It is a bit slower again for me than usual, but not that bad. Takes about 5-10 secs for a page to load for me.

I do notice that the worst lag always seems to be on sunday, and sunday is always a slower day because everybody is at home leasuring behind their computers.

But generally speaking the FOG is slower the last weeks, most of the time it is as fast as we were used to, but the lag does strike pretty often lately, from time to time.

Since Shane already checked everything with the server, it's probably an ISP/host problem.

I have a second (new) trouble ticket open with our host, just to have them investigate on their end.

I wonder if all the internet traffic re Christmas might have anything to do with it.  I know that my connection to all sites has been considerably slower as of late.

Of course I can spell localized. I also drive on the right side of the road!

Please post in the thread the next time you are experiencing slow performance on the forum. If we have multiple users experiencing issues with responsiveness at the same time, I will perform some additional testing to provide to our host.

Thanks for everyone's patience and assistance.

Shane

My connection from Chicago was painfully slow late this afternoon to FOG but is much quicker now.

It was only FOG site that I experienced a slowdown.  Other sites had no issue.

I have just noticed that the FOG is slowing up again. It often starts when I hit my FOG link from my favourites (in IE10) and it does not open and I am left at my home page (Google). It then takes at least one more attempt to eventually get to the FOG home page. Even when I have managed to get to that stage the FOG can still be slow but not at every click.

It took about 15 seconds to get to the "reply" page for this thread after clicking the "reply" button.

slow to load today. Loss of connectivity to server happened multiple times today while posting. Very annoying....

I am no technical expert at all but it appears that the host has insufficient bandwidth - and I wonder what else they are hosting at the same time. If they are streaming music or videos for other clients then that could make a difference.

Where is Garry when you need him?

GARRY !

It's running pitifully slowly here.  I have over 58Mb/s download speed available today, too.

Nice!

Best I can get is 18-19mb  Today I'm running at 17mb.

I want 58mb!!!    Worse where my workshop is best is 6mb I think.    Soooooo slow!!!!
