For the car guys...

To make this thread at least a little bit Festool related... I present...

The Scalpel of the Polishing World -- Festool SHINEX
(we also carry the butter knives AND forced rotation, dual action polishers too by FLEX)

Let's take a turn into F1 History... a nice little segment on, "The Fan Car" featuring (and naturally, designed by) my hero, Mr. Gordon Murray.

This has been a very interesting and enjoyable thread.

How about a Mustang Monday?

I'm a big Ford guy (trucks and SUVs) but have never owned a Mustang.

If I ever were to get one, the 2013/2014 Shelby GT500 would be at the top of my list. I've been told the 2013 production was around 3500 cars, and the 2014 production will likely be less than 3000. I do know that they've stopped taking orders for the 2014.

Rumor has it (and we all know about rumors  [smile]) that this will be the last production Mustang to have the Shelby name, and the last to be supercharged. Are the days of the factory built "muscle car" over?

All hail MOPAR.. I mean MUSTANG MONDAY!

I dig the ROUSH.  Check it out!

Also, I think somewhere in the backlogs of this thread is... The Mustang RTR and RTR-X

I apologize for how lame that first Mustang RTR video was.  Was in a hurry (nature of retail!), saw the thumbnail of the video, and assumed it was the right one (and of course now, I can't find the video I had in mind.)

To make up for that epic fail of a promo video... I mean really, that video was SO. NOT. ROCK. for a vehicle branded, "Ready to Rock"...
I present, The Ford Mustang Documentary

and... I'll throw in Tesla Tuesday for good measure

and most likely the quietest drift video ever on YouTube...

Dat automatic shifting action.

Such driver engagement.

Much excite.

Wow.

Jokes aside, speakers UP.

Thanks for that video, Phil, I had not seen it before.

I also like the vintage training film on power steering. Reminds me of trade school back in the "olden" days.  Gotta love that music.  [smile]

Here's a more current video showing some of the engineering of the drivetrain on the new GT500. When a massed produced car with such power and torque was first released I wondered how they were going to keep the crazies from scattering parts all over the highway. So far they seem to be holding up well.
