Got reeding?

UPDATE;

Just received a text from the homeowner, they want to replace the reeded glass doors with clear glass doors.

If you’re wondering, there’s about 10K in reeded glass doors.

Nice Tom...I really like the wood that's been reeded. How much can you run through before the inserts need to be sharpened?

My suggestion is to package all of those reeded glass panels securely and mark them individually because within 12 months, the owners will be asking you to reinstall them. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I started with installing clear glass panels on our kitchen cabinet doors but quickly moved on to changing them out for reeded glass because the reeded glass hid all sorts of issues/sins and decluttered the look of the cabinets.

Wellllll……

Today was the day to change the glass. The powder coated refrigerator handles are now installed.

A couple of unusual items in this kitchen.

Shelf under the coffee maker, push to open hardware.

Toaster oven pulls out.

@Cheese I do not know how many feet of trim can be run prior to sharpening yet.

Tom, that's a great looking kitchen. You nailed it. Personally, I don't think I could commit to the clear glass doors, but when it's someone else's responsibility, I like to look. It's only ever perfect in "snapshot" situations though.
The Aventos hinges on the pullout unit are a great look too. That pullout under the microwave is really slick. You would never know that it was even there. Looks like normal rail/style construction, brilliant.

One of my concerns, when I was refacing my kitchen cabinets was, “How easy will it be to keep clean?” Which is the reason I stayed away from white cabinets (I went with black).

So, how easy/difficult is it to keep the reeding panels clean?

Actually Tom, in a round-about manner, you actually did answer my question. :D That's a lot of reeded material that you churned out for the kitchen & bath and the knives were never resharpened so for a "normal" install there'd be no need to resharpen knives.

And the light bulb 💡 just went on. These folks are using the clear glass cabinets as displays rather than storage so in that instance the clear glass fronts make sense. Most of us don't have that much room in the kitchen and we need to use every available cabinet for storage.

I also like the powder coated Subzero handles, they really standout.

No clue how easy or hard they are to clean.
