has any body put the domino with the flaps on the lr 32 guide plate

The cheaper alternative is to simply use the back end of the rail, and butt the Domino up against it.  Brice shows this in one of his write-ups.

Use some guide stops to register your base position, and make a homemade spacer jig to set the offset to the "next" location.  Put another stop guide there and just leap-frog along.
 
i was thinking more along the lines of a plate or fixture designed to put another tool on the rail such as the one for the 1400 router. i want to bolt a stainless steel plate to this that would allow my plate to slide acuratly

I have been designing an idea in my head, and just need to find the time to make it, and see if it works or not.

I'm concerned about slop in any kind of sled add-on to the domino, but I think I have come up with a redesign that may eliminate this.  I also want something that can be used horizontally as well as vertically for the Domino positioning, but I may have an idea that will work that out.  I also want something that be used with either the Domino or the OF1400 Router I have, but that part may have to wait, and simply focus on the Domino for now.

Like I said, a lot of "building it in my head" and tinkering loosely with components to come up with a solution.  If I had a second LR32 sled, it could make things a lot easier, but I think I can overcome that.

My brain starts to hurt after a while trying to formulate a solution, but really am making progress I think.  I'm trying to simplify it as much as possible and currently I would be using the sled, other Festool components, an a host of other shop wood scraps and odds and ends.  Hopefully, I'll get this done.  Sometimes these kind of things just stop in their tracks, but I don't give up easy.  In fact, I've visited this issue a few times since getting on the Festool bandwagon and after having seen the pin style Domino adaptation.  I want something that can put either 5mm holes or Domino mortises in line, in any orientation, along the x and Y axis of flat stock with ease of use moving the tool from location to the next without fuss, and have the LR32 indexation help achieve this goal.

I don't want to elaborate too much....it would ruin the surprise (if it ever comes to fruition)!  [big grin]
 
i have my design . i think it will work perfectly with the vertical axis at any angle. this does not help with the horizontal or in between.
the good thing is that the angle (left to right axis) of the domino will not be changed and can be a constant.
one solution that i was thinking was to have my jig to do all the slots in the fase of the work and have the fence of the domino attatch to the lr 32 plate so that the domino part will still be able rotate to any angle.

cant wait to see you contraption. sounds like it will be a 360 degree beast [big grin].
 
It's funny, but after I posted that yesterday, I went in the shop, and tossed half of my concept out the window.  Simplification, and ability to do larger pieces kinda got me going in another direction.

EDIT:  Getting tired of tinkering with this, and have other things to work on.  I'm backburnering until I get the urge/inspired to undertake this again.  A decent integration is not easy for this imo.  It's either I need to buy more things that are not nickel and dime items, and/or work what little brain power I have too hard/long to develop something I'd be happy with.

One idea I kept coming back to, was fastening to the top of the LR sled and running the connecting piece to the Domino via running underneath the rail, and having enough clearance to clear the rubber under rail strips. 
 
i m sorry i dont understand. do you mean that you want to bolt a cradle that the domino sits in onto the lr 32 plate. would this allow height adjustment. i think this will be a very heavy construction overhanging the workpiece.

 
Read this, and did some head scratching. Not in the shop, don't have anything in front of me.

I like the idea of a simple L-bracket that bolts to the sled via the holes that are there for the 1400.

I think that centering the domino on the same hole is a hard start. On the other hand, centering it in line with another hole that's a few holes back might be easier. That way we're still in phase, but we're in open territory.

Bolt the L-bracket to the sled, totally covering the hole that the router passes through, and off the back end of the sled. Drill the holes to bolt the domino to the L-bracket, such that it sits as low as it can to the work... which would still be sitting partially on the rail, but that's ok.

And put a plastic pad under the L-bracket that a) slides on the work and b) extends back, to hold the pins/paddles up, so they don't scratch up the work by accident.
 
I've got what I think will be a handy Domino/LR32 accessory -- my bracket will mount a Domino to the LR32 bracket and allow precise setting of Domino at angles 90, 75, 67.5, 60, 45, 30, 22.5, 10 and 0 degrees locating at the standard 32mm spacing.  Great for shutters, etc.  Any other angle can be set with a protractor (that I won't include in the kit).
I'll post some pictures sometime next week.
