Hinges for Domino Mortices

I wish that Festool would work with a hinge manufacturer to make available hinges to fit mortices made with a Domino machine.  These hinges  could be derivatives of the basic design of Soss hidden hinges.  They could also be derivatives of many of the Euro cabinet hinge designs -- by reconfiguring the cups to be "oval race track shaped" so they could be fitted into Domino mortices cut into both the frame and the edge of the door or lid.  Although they would be sized to fit Domino mortices, anyone with a plunge router could use a template to rout mortices to fit such hinges.  Given the width of Domino mortices, I think it also possible to design a bit of adjustability into such hinges if the manufacturer wants to offer an adjustable model.  The existence of such hinges would increase market penetration of the Domino machine.  There are already metal fittings that work with Lamello biscuit holes, why not a product line to fit Domino mortices for fast and highly accurate hinge and connector hardware?

I know I am not the first member of FOG to post on this idea, but I tried searching for existing posts and could not find any to give credit to whom it is due, and apologize for that.

That is an excellent idea.

Lamello has done a great job branching out with creative solutions for their biscuits.  It would be great if Festool would follow their lead.

You can design them, I can work on getting the patent protection, and we can "rule the world."  (smiles)

Old topic I know ... But I am using the D700 with a 12mm cutter for hinges instead of a router ... On this folding table project the 3 inch (75mm) hinges have radius corners ... Once you have positioned the Domino centers they are quite easy to repeat ...
