How to attach the fittings back on to the CT dust extractor hose?

I guess from yanking on the hose, I managed to pop off the fitting from my CT hose.  Is there a way to re-attach it??

Place the small ring on the hose first, then reverse screw the next
Threaded ring and then place the piece with the rubber
Adapter over the hose end and snap it onto the first ring
Using the male parts on the ring into the opening slots on the
Adapter. It takes longer to write it then to do it.

... and here's a photo of the parts (starting from left to right) as they are installed.  The vac end (shown) and tool end both have similar inner parts and assemble the same way.
