How to use the Parallel guides with the LR32 hole drilling system.

Brice,

Great Idea !  One day I'll buy both and try it out.

The other thing Brice showed us that is not in the video is to make a "setup block" with two scraps that presrves the stop settings to duplicate them without measurement the next time you build the exact same cabinets.  Use a scrap the same length as the width of your cabinet side and before you break your setup, screw a block on to reference it to the back of the rail.  Next time, when you slip this under the rail, just slide the parallel guide stop up to the block and you are set to go.  Great trick if you consistently build say, 13" deep, cabinets.  You could also use the block, slid to the cutting edge of the rail, to setup the parallel guides to rip out your panels.

Systemic repeatablility.  [thumbs up]

My problem is when encountering panels that are longer than the guiderail. Is there a workaround for this situation?

There is. The obvious option is buy a second rail and joint them.  Another way is to hop scotch the rail.  Once you've reached the end of the rail you can slide the rail down the panel it over laps a few holes previously drilled.  To re-index the rail perfectly use the bit in the router in one of the holes you've already drilled (be sure the router is turned off when doing this).  This will perfectly align the rail to keep the 32 mm spacing. Let me know if this makes sense.

Digging up a bit of an old thread, but I'd seen this video a while back.

I'm helping a friend build wall-to-wall bookshelves in his basement office, and I had 20 gables to drill for shelf pins.  This tip saved me an amazing amount of time, and I just wanted to thank Brice for sharing, again, his vast wealth of creativity and experience.

THANK YOU BRICE!!!

I'll see if I can dig it up.

I have the Kiss II PDF. If it's the same, no need to bother.
Thanks
Tim

Brice,

If you're able to find your info for the Blum system, I'd like a copy as well.

Thanks for all your help!
