If Festool offered the ______ (insert favorite NAINA), I would buy one today.

Stuff that I don't think requires UL approval
  • LR-32 Guide rail connectors-weren't these supposed to be here by now???
  • New Kapex support wings and stand (which would also lead to Kapex purchase)-it's hard to justify a $1300 saw, when the current extension wings are crap

UL Approval
  • CMS w/ insert for TS75
  • new c12 with LI

the current wings are pretty nice.  They could tweak them a little and be better then the rolling stand.

1st: CMS for Router
2nd: Centrotec Systainer 2010 (distant 2nd, really want that CMS)

First but definitely not my last post. Lots of great info here, thanks lots.  [big grin]

CMS Stand-alone table
CMS MFT/3 Extension
inserts for router, jig saw, TS-55
Rotex 90
New Carvex Jigsaw and Accessories
C15 drill

CMS, which would lead to a purchase (same day) of a OF 2200, PS 300, TS75, and MFT for outfeed support.

I'm itching to spend the cash!!

Plug-It pigtail to convert non-plug-it tools over to the Plug-it system.

Insert a US to Europe travel adapter in between your tool and the pigtail.

Done. AINA.

The pigtail I'am looking would be used on a non-Festool power tool. I would cut off the power cord from the non-Festool device and wire on the Festool plug-it. That way I only need on power cord at my work station. And I could still use the power cord I have velcroed to my CT hose.

You can buy the pigtail in Europe. I found then on the UK e-bay site once, but the price got too high.

A progressive discount structure, the more Festools you buy the greater your discount. Maybe in 2.5% increments up to 25% off list.
Just kidding.

Carvex
CMS

In order (and marvel at how easy the first one is!):

PIGTAILS!
CMS with all plates available (the stand alone CMS, too, as that's the one I would need with my 1080)
PIGTAILS!
Belt Sander
PIGTAILS!
Vac-SYS
PIGTAILS!

I'm already down for the WCR1000 coming March 1 :)

1. A radio with built in charger.. then I could sell my other drills and combo kits, which leads to #2
2. A combo 18v kit, circ saw, sawzall (is this available in Protool?)
3. CSM? is that just short for a 10" miter saw? Ya I could go for one of those too. [big grin]

Carvex.  Money on the table, anxiously waiting.  I'm hoping I can make it till June as I've needed a jig saw several times over the past few weeks.  It would be a pity not to be able to make the purchase as I needed a jig saw and just couldn't wait.

Here is the table what people want. It looks like people are happy with current tool offering. :)

I didn't count non-qualified replies such as UL blames, non existing tools etc. If person asks about the same tool several times it counted as a single vote. Votes for CMS counted as a single vote even if person asked about 3 different inserts, or different version of this tool.
And the hit list is:

Total replies 56 almost 4000 views
Valuable  35 (threads where members asking about tools)
              Votes %
CMS        28 80%
VAC-Sys 10 29%
RO-90 10 29%
Belt sander 8 23%
Carvex 8 23%
Centrotec Set 6 17%
WCR-100 5 14%
CS-70,50 or Precisio 3 9%
Shinex 3 9%
WTS-7 2 6%
Planex 2 6%
Protool line 2 6%
C1x drill with LiIon 2 6%
wrench set 1 3%
Zobo cutters 1 3%
RS-200 1 3%
RS-300 1 3%
CSX drill        1 3%
Toolie 1 3%

If you need something don't hesitate and ask. There is a tool(s) in this list that was not imported because of "low demand" in 2001-2004. But Festool tools market is different now.
Please don't vote for RO-90, Carvex and other tools that will be introduced this year.

Regards,
VictorL

Victor, thanks so much for taking the time to tabulate the results thus far. I want to take a moment to address each of these, even though it's fairly common knowledge that some are scheduled to appear this year.

CMS                All I can say is "we're working on, we've been working on it, it's something we want as badly as any of you", cross your fingers
VAC-Sys          UL issues
RO-90            March 1
Belt sander    You won't see this any time soon
Carvex            June 1
Centrotec Set We're working to get a slightly customized version for the US, it's in the works and we hope to have something soon
WCR-100        March 1
CS-70,50 or Precisio  Don't hold your breath.
Shinex            March 1
WTS-7            I don't even know what this is, I had to look it up! No plans, basically an RAS with a 7mm stroke.
Planex            Working on it, no definitive ETA
Protool line      No idea what the long term plans are for Protool in the US, in the short term don't expect to see it
C1x drill with LiIon  June 1
wrench set      If you're talking about the ratchet set in the mini Systainer, I don't think we'll offer it.
Zobo cutters    Currently no plans
RS-200            Currently no plans
RS-300            Currently no plans
CSX drill            May 1
Toolie              Currently no plans to reintroduce this but I saw some listed in the classifieds here on the forum

I appreciate all of you contributing to this thread and I encourage those who haven't done so to voice their opinions. Thanks!

Even though I just dumped a grand on a new router set-up, I would still buy the CMS...then after I stuggled with buyers remorse, which may lead to further depression--or cause other issues to reapear that I once felt I had overcome, I would start looking at the next festool piece that I had to have...
