Ever since I saw fence dogs, either from Benchdogs.co.uk or Tool Improvements or our member [member=14226]sprior[/member] I've loved the idea of them but didn't want to give up cross cut capacity. I figure I need to keep 24" for when I do base cabinets and if you were to push the MFT/3 fence up against the last row of dog holes you come up short, somewhere around 23". So with some careful prep I added two new 20mm holes to be able to use some fence dogs and still have 24" cross cut capability. Just waiting on the fence dogs to arrive. Oh and it's still all square to the MFT/3 holes so I could use rail dogs on the guide rail if I wanted with the fence setup this way.

My one concern is if you make the mounting holes too close to the edge of the table you could have clearance issues with the knob underneath the table and the aluminum rail around the table.  I don't remember offhand what the diameter of the knobs I designed is, but could measure them tonight.

[member=14226]sprior[/member] You're right a regular size knob will not fit. I have two of these, not sure from where, but I suspect for anyone that did like me you'd have to find smaller knobs for this application:
