My name is Eric. I own a home remodeling, painting, & refinishing company and use my festools everyday. I have met some here and lurk/study frequently.
This is a project for a client I have been working with for the last five years doing interior and exterior work. They wanted shutters after we painted the exterior and I decided that I could build them instead of Timberlane Shutter company. Although I have been in the remodeling business for awhile now, this is really my first dollars earned for a woodworking project that I did off site. I am in the process of building up a shop in my two car garage that also will share my wifes car. So although this isn't a masterpiece, it marks a significant moment for me as I am transitioning my skills towards hopefully one day opening a cabinet/woodworking shop to co-exist with the current business.
The shutters are western red cedar v notched tongue and groove done with the OF 1400(which was bought with clients down payment) and the trion made easy work of the radius tops, which we cut on site. Next, I am making a wooden exterior screen door for a client and I have already transferred the down payment funds to Timmy c for my Domino which appears will be a good project to get acquainted with.
Next step: invest in planer and stain grade projects, oh yeah and a ton of cabinetry for shop and van that I will be posting.
