I am getting ready to replace my current router table.  I really want a good lift that allows bit changes from above the table.  Is there one for the 1400?  I can't seem to find one.  In some respects I would prefer the 2200 but I don' have enough juce to run it.

Unfortunate.  What is the lift like and is it a part of a table system or what?  I have a old beat up but still working fine skill router in a cheap table with a router insert.  I just bought a INCRA 25" fence for it?Yes I know that's silly as the fence cost about 2x what the table and router together did.

I am looking at the Freud router and their table but while the fence is really nice it doesn't have much latitude.  It looks like I can use the Freud router with a INCRA table and fence but I would prefer to have the 1400.  I have the various guide rails including the extensions; but they don't work easily on things like making molding out of 4x3/4" stock and then cutting it down on a band saw to around 13mm.  Then making another piece of molding.

The lift is a module for the CMS system.  In other markets, there are modules for the TS plunge cut saws, the routers, the jig saw and a belt saw -- hope I didn't forget any.  Anyway, you may like to read The CMS-GE Review which discusses the CMS-GE (stand alone version) and, further down, the CMS-VL (version that adds-on to the MFT/3) along with some of the modules.  This is (will be) an expensive option when it arrives here.  It may prove cheaper to get another brand router for your router table needs and get a Festool router for handheld or guide rail usage.  [smile]

Even if there is a lift available, IMHO, the OF1400 is not the best choice for a router table...it's optimized for hand-held and guide-rail use.

That said, the original Jess-Em Router-R-Lift setup would work since it's not router dependent. But it will also require you to use screws to mount and de-mount the router. I used one of them for my PC 7518 before I moved up to the BenchDog cast iron setup that took the router body directly in its grasp.

Since you have the Incra fence, I thought that you might like this thread;  MFT Upgrade - Incra LS Positioner  Hehehe.  Got a MFT yet?

Interesting idea; I have a couple 800s I got on blow out.  Unfortunately the 2200 is not an option as I don't have any 20 amp circuits.

The Jess-Em are nice but they are all for round body routers.  The Unilift looks really nice but it doesn't fit any Festool.  I could probably adapt it but I am not going to pay a machine shop!  Looks like the INCRA large table and the Freud 3000.  Power will be a problem as my CTmini and the Freud can't be on the same curcuit; OH! well.
