I would just like to point that im glad to see Phil putting the hours. I have been watching you (he says with an evil laugh)  you seem to be on here a lot at this time .

thumbs up phil

Earlier in the thread.......dedicated, prepared zzzzzzzzz [smile]

Like Phil mentioned above my local dealer called up the day after Phil had offered to send me a new bag.

My dealer contacted festool UK and spoke to Sandra who told him to give me a new bag and festool UK will send the dealer a replacement.

I contacted Phil to let him know because I wasn't sure if it was Phil's doing or dealers.

Would have been nice getting two free bags but I didn't want to be greedy.

The dealer mentioned the photo I posted with all the dust everywhere.  So I assume like Phil said some one must have seen the post on here.

Here is a picture of my goods the other day.  You can see the little box with a new long life bag.

Thank Phil and Dealer and FestoolUK

How much do you like those orange spacers for carcass fitting? I tried them a couple of weeks ago and found them a treat on uneven walls. Takes all the shimming out and adjustable

Not used them yet.  Known about them for a while but never bothered till now because I'm making a kitchen for a client and it saves on sheet material because I don't need to allow for the side panels to go past for services/fixing

Dave, It must have been said before. . . but your profile pic is awesome.

I have a few more ' interesting ' toilet pics. I must get round to posting them,  they are just as mad as the profile pic.

I’ve had a constructive exchange with Phil.  He has tracked down the missing emails (they were going to an unmonitored inbox) and identified the root causes of the other issues I raised, and I don’t think they’ll be happening again!

Furthermore, not only has he apologised profusely for the inconvenience, but he generously sent me a reusable bag for my CT26.

Above all, I really feel that Festool UK cares again.

It's a beautiful thing.  [crying]

Seriously though, glad that there is some progress with our UK members getting issues resolved. I told you that Festool UK cares.

Great job from Phil and the team at Festool UK.  [thumbs up]

Jools,

If you want any more info on the little orange spacers (SpacePlugs), ask Jonny Round Boy! He featured in a video that was made all about Spaceplug. JRB and I know the guy who invented them really well. He is a top bloke.

They are available in 2 different sizes, and the number of uses we have all found for them is endless, not just for fixing cabinets to the wall.

Regards, Tim.

They have always sorted me out, repaired my drill serveral time to the point where they repaired it then phoned me to replace it. I was offered some freebies thrown in but they either got took buy the dealer or never got sent. Hey ho way just happy to have drill sorted at the time.

I did have an issue with a blade recently which wasnt 100% sorted but you cant have everything

Hi Andrew
I mentioned i would post an overview so here it is.
We got it wrong and an apology has gone to Andrew for the situation he faced. The hurdles he came up against would have driven me or anyone to complain long before Andrew did. The result is that it has highlighted a couple of areas for us to work on - communication and timely replies. The process for this has started today and it will be part of an on going process - the second part is next week. The email part will be monitored closely and i will post an update in a week or so.
Any machine that comes in will go back correctly packaged - after it leaves us remember we have no magic wand to control it so let us know or the delivery company of any problems.

I am in the process of communicating with another member who contacted me via p.m so i will not post details unless they decide to. This one will take a little time but i hope for a timely response and a good outcome.

So i hope this shows that Festool U.K does watch and listen and sure occasionaly it goes wrong but we also get it right most of the time.

Watch out for the Festool branded boxes for return repairs  [cool]

No Problem!

Thank you for helping.

Only reason I took to FOG was because I was told I wouldn't be sent a new ring part or couldn't even buy the small ring part because its not a part which is sold seperate and had to buy a complete new bag which is why I spat my dummy out

I would have been happy to have bought the part better still get the part free but its amazing I was given a free bag.

10/10 for service!

Hi just wanted to add my experience i am fairly new to the festool world cant belive it's taken this long for me to find out about the world of festool after buying a TS55 thought i would give a dust extractor a go so bought a  CT 17 the cheapest on the festool dealer told me i could try it if i didn't like it they would take it back give me a full refund ,so after trying it couldn't belive how good it was  wishing i had bought the midi now.
So rang dealer i said don't suppose i could upgrade to midi they said not a problem got festool uk to pick it up next day and they dropped the new midi off hour before unreal service now i am totally hooked just want everything festool  [smile]

Just thought I'd put in the 10 cents.

I've always got excellent service from Festool UK when I've had problems. I've got to know a few of the festool guys including Phil and they have always been a great help.

Things can only get better now Phil has joined the FOG.

I've used TTS on a handful of occasions and always been impressed.

One time I had to send my carvex back for a trigger problem and within an hour of faxing back the form there was a fedex guy at the door asking for a collection. I hadn't even wrapped it. He just put a label on the top and off it shipped.  Came back wrapped well and perfect.

Sorry about your problems mate but I'm sure it's just a one off.

Sorry can't remember your name but the guy who read this and said he was going to go with dewalt!!!! Keep reading the forum. It doesn't happen to often and you'll regret getting the dewalt.

Funny

I just sent my carvex back as one of the triggers stopped working

Lucky i still have my old trion

Only bad thing is im going to have a big tange on site with cords as the carvex is cordless. not looking forward to tomorrow

Cheers

Bryan
