Phil,

Will you have the mfk 700 basic with you. I've got the full set with the standard and 1.5 base. I'd like to get a base I can use to trim and round pvc edging in one hit. Guessing the basic base with the bearing break with a 2mm round over cutter would do the trick.

Chris,

I got my MFT set up and ready for you. I put a old top on it swapped out my good top and didn't square it up so you can do it and see how easy and accurate it is. Though I don't use the normal set up I use 2 angle stops (protractors) rather then 1 protractor and the black thingie that mounts to the end of the rail. Plus I got another angle stop mounted so you can see how easy it is to make short thin cuts... Oh Im setting up my CMS VL unit with a cool festool rabbit bit. Go to the Germany thread and I posted a photo of it.

Anyway see you tomorrow
See you tomorrow Ron, looking forward to it. I'm gonna be coming on my own too, luckily my wife's happy to have both boys ,so I'm not baby sitting lol

Hope the suns shining on you guys. Thinking I'd rather be there than hanging plasterboard today but I get to use TS55 and the DWC. Enjoy all those toys that [member=41214]Phil Beckley[/member] brings.

Hi Ron, just wanted to thank you and your family for hosting todays get together.
Really enjoyed it, great group, great food and great tools. Weather was kind to us as well.

I've come away with lots of ideas and a shopping list. [crying]

Thanks also to Phil, for bringing a van full of tools to let us get our hands on, great job.

Cheers
Mark

I second every single word Mercury said.
It was completely brilliant and I loved it.
Top blokes every one of you.

Thanks Ron

I still can't get over that terrifyingly massive circular saw and planer...

Gerry,

You killed me with that incra kit.  Ya got me thinking and very tempted. Man that was a nice set up

Ron, thanks for putting it on and thanks for taking me at the last minute.  Thank you both for the generous hospitality and the cooking.

Good to meet you all and get to see and play with some of the kit - lots of new project ideas and even more on the wishlist!

So many people to thank...

Thanks most of all to [member=10147]jobsworth[/member] for hosting this event for the second time. Such a shame you'll be going back to the States buddy but you'll always be our Guest of Honour in future years at future venues. Thanks once again too to Mrs T for all her hard work - she's a star!

Thanks to [member=41214]Phil Beckley[/member] for bringing along the tools (some of them quite scary!) and for the demos. And thanks to Festool UK too for the promotional bits and pieces. Thanks also to [member=24875]Woodwork Wizard[/member] for bringing along the SYM 70 for me to take a look at - very, very nice saw and very, very tempting... [blink]

So great to meet old and new faces alike. Even the weather was with us...  [big grin]

Fabulous conversation and fabulous company. Had a great day. [thumbs up]

Hi
Thanks Ron and the rest of the family for hosting this 2016 BBQ  [thumbs up].....and a special mention to Mrs T - the food was great  [big grin]
Great to meet up with all of you and by the look of it Rons place was lucky with the weather!!!
Hope you all had an easy trip back home and if you need anything you know where I am  [smile]

......sling up the group image Ron  [thumbs up]

[member=11629]GarryMartin[/member] , Re the Sym 70

Go on, you know you want to  [wink]

In all honesty, its a great saw and VERY under rated / under promoted, my dealer told me mine was the first one he had sold in ages and ages.

Its quite small, very light , great little saw

Dale

Oh Snap I can't believe I didn't post it.

By Popular demand,

This mob sort of reminds me of  the characters from Star Wars...  [big grin] [big grin] [big grin]
