I have a large (well large for me) built in shelving/media unit to make and fit, I would normally make something like this out of Moisture Resistant MDF. Problem is this one has to be made in workshop, disassembled, transported to site, carried up 2 flights of stairs then reassembled/fitted. To save my back I was wondering about using lightweight mdf, probably just for upright sections with adjustable shelving track routed in and for the backs. Will be using tulip wood for shelves as each section about 48" wide. Anyone got any experience of using lightweight mdf, is it suitable for this kind of thing?
Thanks in advance, Doug
