I had a makita track saw, Have since replaced with festool ts55. Any way the systainer for makita was same in every colour. Clipped together with my other systainers perfectly.

Good to hear that, the not clipping together part scared me a bit. The lithium ion makita drills are sold in systainers in Holland now, and if their jigsaw with the ledlight is bundled with their tracksaw it comes in a systainer aswell.
Since we own a few of the impact drivers and a jigsaw I was planning on ordering the makita systainer for those tools. (One of the cases for the impacts broke (first the transparant box in the cover) and altough it's possible to order the other makita cases, my dealer said they couldn't get the one for the impact. (I asked for the transparant lid, and he told me it was already hard to get the entire case)

Thats exactly what happened to mine the clear lid snapped first and Makita did send me a new case but that has broken too.

Does anyone here have one of the Makita plunge saws ?

I have a few Festool tools in systainers but I want to put all my Makita Li-ion drills into one big systainer and I noticed that the Makita saw comes in a systainer style box. Is the box compatible with Festool systainers I cannot find pictures of it anywhere to check the only pics I can find show metal clips on the lid and not the plastic ones like the Festool (Tanos) ones.

I have been into my local tool shop bout week ago and he has one of the Makita Plunge Cut saws in with the Makita boxes the boxes. I have a look at it and its the same as the festool just different colours. The clips are red plastic Clips not Metal. I live in the UK

At the building fair in Utrecht I went to yesterday, they were giving away free cases at the Makita stand, I suppose they were getting rid of the stock they still had, before the switch to systainers. We got three cases (you only got 1 case per entree ticket) Unfortunately I went there just before we had to leave, so I only got my hands on 1 of the impact driver cases.

I went to the makita stand to ask for the ordern? for their systainers for the impact, and the barrelgrip jigsaw. But they didn't have the inlays for the barrelgrip, and I ended up with a newer type case for the impact than the one I had (lightblue transparent lid, instead of the clear one).

(I also got to try the new version of the impact with the brushless motor and the 3 torque settings, and I'm getting one of those for my dad)

Japan Woodworker and Lee Valley have Tanos systainers in Stock!

Expect import-like pricing, but cheaper shipping.

I would like to find the Makita containers if they  are more affordable that Tanos and/or Festool.
As far as the Tanos systainers I 've gotten a few in different colors  from Japan Woodworker in CA.
