metabo FSK

Fascinating. Must be licensed, it’s almost an exact copy with a few improvements from the looks of it.

Thanks love their regular guide rails that I now use the most of all my rails with my festool TS.
And from the video there are a couple different sized saws that fit this track. I’m enjoying a lot of Metabo’s choices of late, still enjoying my discounted gen1 Mirka Deros sold in Metabo colours over here.

Hi, hd has them, guy

The longer Metabo KFS rails certainly seem significantly cheaper in the UK than the equivalent Festool FSK. They’re also marginally longer, which is nice… If they’re compatible, that will be very interesting indeed.

It appears that Festool's latest patent filing was in 2015, so you would imagine that it is still in force.

Also, I was not aware that the Festool tracks are now made in the USA.  I just found that online.
I seem to remember that with great fanfare, Festool announced their production line of the Track making at Lebanon IND a few years ago....

Aren't the T slots at different locations? So incompatible?

Ooh, you might be right actually. My non scientific evaluation below. .

Ahh, looks like a fail then.
Still, it's interesting that theres more competition apart from Mafell.
