First off I'd like to apologize for all the random post. I'm just new to Festool.  I'm a hardwood floor and tile installer and I also have a shop where I make custom inlays, built-ins and cabinets.  Most of my flooring jobs are 45 minutes away from the shop and I usually get rained on during transit about 15% of the time.
I purchased 2 Kapex tables mostly for my site work to hold my miter saw and a Dewalt jobsite table saw and plus for the clamping features. The question is, if I seal the tops will the other parts of the tables survive a 45 minute ride in the rain or possibly a few hours outside without rusting? Since I down sized a few years ago I went from 2 vans and a truck down to just a truck since I haul pallets of wood or stone 80% of the time.

Myself I would have a hard time with mdf and lots of water. Don't think that is a good mixture since mdf is glue, wood chips and saw dust.

As for the metal bits, lots of nooks and crannies in there. I think water would find its way in and then pool in some spots. Maybe folded down you can find some sort of soft sided travel bag that is water resistant for them.

Others will know more about their water resistance. But that is my opinion for what its worth.

What Bohdan said, also try some MDO sealed of course. MDO holds up pretty long.
Check around some sign shops that may have a CNC machine, they might even have
some MDO and do some custom routing at the same token.
