Hi, I'm Geert. I'm from Belgium, so my English is not so good.  That's why I'm going to show you lots of pictures, because everyone understands that. And the rest is google translation to help me.

I have my own router lift made with an adjustable electronic lift. The zero I can detect. The height can I accurately read to 0.05 mm. The up and down movement of the lift can with foot pedals or by hand.

You have great skills! Very nice job - I think you should make a kit for doing this...in English, of course.

;D

Very Nice  [thumbs up]

Can I ask what the square piece with what looks like a aluminium triangle on the end is for? It looked like it had a electrical cable coming out of it, does it help with setting the height of the bit?

Yes, it helps in adjusting the height of the cutter. When the router comes up and touch the zero-point detection, then the cutter will stop automatically.
There is a safe small current through the cutter and the zero point (cable required) and control allows the cutter then stop.
On the control I can clear the height and I can now set the cutter height as I wish.
