My MFT jig for ripping narrow stock

I can see some real advantages to the extension arms.

Not just for cutting thin strips.

I am also curious if anyone sees any real utility in the 8020 extension arms, especially from guys making a living with their MFT?

I am a new MFT user, I havent had it on a jobsite yet, but if there is anything sticking out like that on a work table or anything , someone will probably run into it, and probably hard,so if it seems fragile at all , and/or such a thing would really damage the MFT extrusions, I would say no. Just something to consider.

Just some updated photos of the extensions in use. Without a supporting leg on the underside I would not put a ton of weight on them but they are very handy for supporting long stock either for sanding (as in the photos) or cross-cutting cabinet parts.

The longer 8020 extrusions are clamped to the table or to the extensions from below, then whatever I am working on can be clamped to them via sliding the Festool clamps into the long slots.

By any chance, did anyone save the images from this post I would like to see this jig.

[member=69101]thedevme[/member] Wow that's a blast from the past. I don't even have the old images myself.

IIRC I made some hinges that attached to the 80/20 and the guide rail and then an adjustable stop for the material. Any of the aftermarket parallel guides could be used similarly in conjunction with the Parf Dogs and UJK rail clips to secure the rail to the MFT.

Ahh thanks [member=8712]Richard/RMW[/member]

I'm out of the dog business but here's an old video. Use the Parf dogs/UJK clips instead of Rip Dogs and you are in business.

Oh man you are the one that did this - this was my favorite way of doing this - I wish you still did this version. I would buy right now :(

Thanks for the response

This actually gave me a good idea for using the seneca narrow stock jig to rip thin stock using the mft3.  Just tested it out and it works perfect so thank you again for posting the video.

Sure I am not doing anything special - I am using and 18-inch Incra track and this track is calibrated for the track on my mft3. I am also using fence dogs. I started a post for Seneca Parallel guides here if you want to see a list of enhancements:
