Why is it that some of the sites in Europe  ( Italy and England being the ones in my case ), not very good .

They seem dated and it is hard to find everything, especially accessories, the German and American sites seem so much easier to me.

Come on Festool sort it out, could we not have something better.

I don't mean to moan, but they really are not that good. IMOI.

Many Thanks - Dan James.

Dan,

Festool headquarters is systematically upgrading all of the countries' websites to the newer version, like the Festool Germany site.  This is a rather large undertaking considering the various languages and amount content.  I would recommend you contact Festool Italy for more information about when they transition may take place.  I think Claudia Mercaldi was one of the members of Festool Italy I met when I was in Germany.  She could probably provide you with an update on their website plans.

Thanks.
Shane

Dan,

Here in North America we have   [not worthy]  [not worthy]  Shane Holland  [not worthy] [not worthy].  That might explain our differences.

I seem to remember reading that the new look web sites will be up around the time the new tools come out which would be 1st May.

I completely disagree. The Dutch Festool site was updated not long ago to the new design.  The new design sure looks prettier but A LOT of things are much harder to find. The site is also a lot slower than before. A lot of products are not on it anymore. A lot of choices are now done through the use of Javascript, and guess what, they don't work optimally. I am used (like most people I guess) to navigate a lot through websites using the back and forward buttons. With the Javascript on the new site it doesn't work anymore and you have to start over again with the homepage. Very annoying.

In short, I like the look, but the functionality has gone down, and that's NOT GOOD. People should judge a website on it's content and the ease of information retrieval, and not on something superficial like how it's looks.

Thank you Shane for letting me know the new site is coming.

Alex, I cannot comment on how the new sites work as I have not used one yet, but very good point that it should not be jugded just on how it looks.

Many Thanks - Dan James.

As Woodguy says the UK site opens on the 1st of May you can buy online from the new site apparently.
