New workshop build

Fantastic!  Great space with wonderful lighting and layout.  I'm sure you will love doing work there and no doubt, your work will be raised due to the inspiration of the space.

Thanks for sharing!

Here is a close up pic from that slatwall. You can not see it from faraway, it is not plastic or MDF. It is interlocking aluminum with green pvc strips inserted to cover the screws.

Here is the Hammer n4400 band saw wich is connected to Laguna dust collector and when I need it, I just roll it for A3 31. This dust collecter is just for this two machines. At the center I have my TS 75 and the ct sys on sys-roll so I can quickly grab it and go to garage just to cut the sheet good to bring them down here.

It was a large open area in the first picture and I moved what was there just to show how much space I can have if I want to but I have two Felder FAT 300 lifting tables that goes there.

The next picture shows one at lowest 400mm and one at highest 1030mm and can be set at any point between by using the hydraulic lift. The tabe top is glue, solvent and scratch resistant and is almost same size as MFT3 just 20mm wider and 100mm longer.

Here is some usage of the lifting tables. I put one at each end of MFT3 which helps to support a very long lumber and for some projects the vac sys is a bit high for me, so I just remove it from plate and drop them on lifting table. Oh life gets much easier.
Here is the example.

And finally just two pics from corners for whole shop.

Finally something about lights and use it in the efficient way.
When I started this project, I know the layout in my head and wired the lights half and half. If you take a marker and put a line in the middle of the chimney to the front and the end wall, you would split the shop in half. There are 12 florescent fixtures in the shop and each one holds 4 T8 4' tube. So each side of the shop has 6 fixtures which has separate breaker and switch.I can turn the half shop off to be more efficient and still get great lighting with no shadows.
For example, If I work on the festool side, I can turn the lights off on the other half or opposite. I just took two pictures by standing at the end of chimney.
Work on the festool side.

work on the Hammer side.

Let me find the receipt, I will post it soon I do not remember the web site but I have it.

Amazing workspace....thanks for the share!  I would love to hear more on the Felder tables - I have seen them and they look very versatile. Not cheap, but useful nonetheless. I have thought about buying one for exactly the same purpose.

Thanks, I did not buy both of them at the same time. I bought the first one 9 months ago and when it arrived it was build much better then what I was thinking. It is 250 bound and holds up to 600 pound and all 4 rollers get locks. I was moving it under the MFT3 and every cut I was making I could put it on the top and keep the MFT3 ready for another cut. I started moving much faster and easier I ended up to buy another one 3 months ago and I am glad I did. Unless you pick it up,this is heavy and comes on skid so it is not a ups or fedex item and shipping cost approximately $250 depends on where you live.Let me know if you need any more info.

One more time if I missed anyone, thank you very much for the words and comments. [smile]

Well done. Shop looks great. Enjoy it now after all your hard work.

Which megawall profile did you use?
Did megawall provide the green screw cover or was that your custom touch?
Will any standard slat wall hooks, etc work, or do you need special ones?

I've been leaning towards some type of metal peg board vs slatwall, but this looks great and will be much better than any plastic/mdf variant I've only seen up,until now. This is a great find.

Thanks for sharing the project from beginning to end with all the little details. Now go break in all that new equipment.

This is an amazing workshop. I have been following this avidly. My favourite thread in a long time
Those photos would have been at least 18 months apart if it was me

You must have another area for all your crap

You have inspired me. I'm going to try and get my workshop floor painted in the next couple of days

And again amazing

Mick

This has been an amazing  project in just the time it took.  There is just one thing you have not shown. Your scrub area for when you are about to perform surgery.

I love the clock.  Do you pour water on those tiny tools to make them useful and then shink them when finished?

All kidding aside, your planning and vision have been great. You have a terrific work space.
Tinker

Wow wow wow!  So many things I'm drooling over.  But I'm imagining the handiness of those Felder tables to be almost invaluable.
