Till now, I did not even know that it is looks like star and just compare it with regular stone, always thought it was round.Bert Vanderveen said:HAXIT said:Well folks, it was kidney stone. [crying]
And who ever had it, knows what is it looks like and if you did not do not even think about it.
Did you save it? I have used mine to cut leather (just joking. but it was sharp enough to use for that purpose).
Good to hear that you are back in the saddle!
You make me laugh Mick. [big grin] [big grin]VW MICK said:[member=63059]HAXIT[/member]

I agree and just hope that won,t be the next.RobBob said:As painful as kidney stones are, it is still better to have a kidney stone than back problems.
Kidney stones are usually acute.
Back problems are usually chronic.
Thanks, it feel good and I missed the shop big time.digger said:Happy to hear you're feeling better. It must feel great to be back in the shop.
Tinker, are you sure you are not a doctor? because I think you are. [big grin]Tinker said:@ HAXIT Sorry to hear about your setback. Our daughter suffered with kidney stones for several years. She finally started squeezing a half lemon into a glass of distilled water every morning and drinking (with no sugar added) She uses lemon juice on her salads and in her tea. Since she started with that regimen, she has not had any more problems with the stones. They all seem to dissolve. I have a cousin who had the same problem and used the same method. No more problems. I'm no doctor, but it seemed to work with two people in my own family. That's good enuf for me.

It is Aigner Distometer and does many things. Here I use it to mill dawn exact at 1mm and I use this to measure and check the thickness of the material or set up the cutting tools height and many things.
I got this from Germany and in U.S Martin would be the one to have it. Here is the link:

Yes, you can do it in the thicknessing part and I did installed the digital wheel. You can use the aigner when your material is wider and won,t fit in machine if you do not want to take the work piece to the saw for the last cut but my situation here was different.Bert Vanderveen said:[member=63059]HAXIT[/member] What is the advantage of doing precise planing when you can achieve precision in the thicknessing part of milling (I think I saw you have the 'digital' wheel installed - which offers .2 mm precision)?

The doctor at hospital told me the same thing. He said lemon juice in everything as you can and you will be fine. He also said cranberry juice and apple vinegar does the same thing as well.
