I was also looking for one, Keep an eye out on used market.  One popped up semi locally for me and I got it for $950. It was pretty much brand new.  Had to disassemble it and loaded it into my small suv wihtout issues.  Then had to put it back together.  Works fine and their support is awesome. Had few missing items and they shipped them out no questions asked.

Anyone know if this Voyager 58000 has been upgraded/discontinued?

Reason I ask is there seems to be a big delivery gap in the US. Also, when I was searching I found a model 58006 with the same name and after digging around a bit found in Canada the 58006 is replacing the discontinued 58000.

Doesn't look like it.  if you look at the page 1 of the manual bottom right it lists that model number in 2018

I found a standard hose adapter that fits real nice on the Woodpeckers Fence. If you want me to I could try to find out where I got it. It is made of metal and the Festool hose end fits in it like it was made for it.

I have one of these on my DP-PRO, router fence and band saw.

just compared specs on both items and everything is identical even UPC

I talked to them this week.
They said they are going to continue to offer the Vulcan MT3 Spindle Assembly (#838110​), Table(838?), and the downfeed accessory(#83820) as upgrade items for the Voyager.
roughly $1000 upgrade.

Very interesting - what are  the big differences between this and Voyager?

the immediate things that jump out are:

1hp motor vs 2hp
spindle travel is 4.5 vs 6
16 inch DP vs 18 inch or about 8 inches from the column to the quill center vs 9 inches
150 for the low speed vs 50

I think this makes sense, as the Viking is quite tall to be a “bench top” drill press. I own the Viking and bought a stand for it initially which was 35” tall, and have since changed it to something about 29 or 30” tall.

Yes, it’s missing features of the Voyager, but it is a good bit cheaper than it too. Depends on what you want/need I guess.

I ordered a Voyager beginning of January and they cancelled my order since they don’t expect deliveries until late August.

Yep benchtop version and i can put it on top of the cabinet.  So i can wheel it around and have storage space for stuff
