I have 1 edge guide (Festool 494680 Edge Guide OF 2200)

Wondering if 2 edge guides places on either side would be possible and if so what is the limitation of stock width and depth of this setup?

I usually have stock that is 1” -> 2” and I need to cut ½” wide 3/8” deep along the length of the stock without going the entire length of the stock.  I usually use a ½” spiral up cut bit and this works great.
I would think the plexiglass template is exactly what I would need except it’s edge parts are far to deep to be useful for the types of work I usually preform.

Thanks.
Note:  I’m sure somebody has tried this or ever does it I just have not been able to lay my hands on another edge guide to try it.

EDIT  found it.  I knew this would work.  cool.

Interesting timing.  I just posted something similar, but instead of purchasing a second edge guide, I made a simple shop made jig that works basically the same.

My example used the 1400.  But if the same edge guide works for the 2200, then my jig would work as is.  Even if the edge guide were different, the concept could be used, just with different hole diameters or spacing, as needed.
