Hi all, I'm a new member that has been a festool junkie for about 3 years. I have a new Domino and I'm wondering if anyone would trade my new fence for one of the good old 5mm jobbies? I would like to do the LR32 Mod, and need 5mm stops to do it. Does anyone know of any reason that I should not trade for an older fence?

What is the LR32 mod?

In this case it is when you drill out the router sled in the LR32 kit so that you can attach a domino and use the 32mm rails for mortise placement. To do it without a bunch of extra work I need to have an old fashioned 5mm domino fence.

I'll have an attachment available soon that will work with either new or old style Dominos and allow for 90 degrees of swing orientation.

Interesting. Let me know when you have something available and I will take a look. There is another reason I would like the old 5mm fence, and that is to simplify making louvre doors.

This thing should be the cat's meow for making louver doors. 

Not to make a long story but back when I was working for a living with the long hours & traveling I had no time for my hobby so I sold my metal working machinery.  That wasn't all bad because they were manual machines and I have friends with modern CNC machine shops that allow me "play time" when not busy.  Well, he has been very busy lately with no time to spare me.  He sees some gap times for the machines I need coming so I'll be able to get a revised prototype this week.  I am also getting low on Domino plates so I need to stock up on those this week.  End of the news.  [smile]

no rush ron . just wondering. i thought u were personally making them at home in the shed. i didnt realise you had to wait for your friends capasity to open up. i was only looking for a sneak peak for now. a pic or drawing etc would show us. please.
