Parallel Side Fence Guide Extension

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone with the parallel side fence guide extensions (FS-PA-VL) could help me with a question. I have just received my new toy ;D and have noticed that when tightening up the thumb bolts one is longer in length than the other and goes through the captive nut and pushes the guide rail upwards. It is about 6mm longer. I've tried swapping them over and the problem swaps with it.

I am assuming they should be the same length, is anybody able to confirm this? or am I overlooking something in the set up?

Its not a big problem as I can put a few washers on, to stop it raising the rail but would just like to know for my own sanity if I done anything wrong.

If you are talking about the knobs that attach the short extensions to the parallel guards that let you cut rips more narrow that the width of the rail, the knobs should be the same.
