Figured I'd put some bits and pieces I have been working on in this thread in a final state before being destroyed by the dog, Wife, children etc.
A few of these have had input from helpful people on this forum so it seemed only fair to share them.
Anything that looks good probably wasn't my own idea and was borrowed from YouTube or some magazine or atelevision show "vision" that appeared to me late at night.
Some of them are practical for the house we've been building, some are for fun.
So first up is something that's not actually finished, but it was in this thread before I edited it, so it may as well remain.
Original post:
I thought you might like the effect (again hard to see from a photo).
I took the filings that get generated from my metal chop saw and filled the cracks on this piece of wood, then covered in resin. So effectively, the waste produce from the legs for this bench are being used within the bench. Feeling pretty smug about that thank you very much.
In the right light it looks like beautiful shiny blue flecks. I've attached it BIG, I'm normally tidy on the file sizes, but it's hard to see it in small.
I need a better finish sander or lessons in sanding, my 450 is leaving swirls when going through the grits.
Probably shagg*d my blade chopping that end off too - bonus!
