Here you go.
It's a 2013 Trafic sport LWB.
Raised the floor to accommodate steps, trestles, long items etc and racked sides for tools and fixings etc

I had a SWB trafic before this with the racking against the bulkhead but it restricts sheets that can be carried.
Hope it gives you some ideas.
Cheers
Scott

Nice setup there. Thanks for that. Did you use 19mm ply? Anyone else got pics of there setup?
Yes 19mm oak veneered mdf for racking and 18mm mdf for floor.
All installed after van "factory" lined with 6mm ply / 9mm on floor

There are quite a few threads on the mobile racking topic.

Does it add much weight to your van?

Yes but only 4 sheets (less cuttings!) of 18mm 8'x4'...the tool weight etc I'd be carrying anyway.

I would like to use 12mm birch ply where possible. I'm thinking of using a split batton systmem so I can quickly remove the shelving when transporting cabinets etc. I can stack tools inside the cabinets. I have done that many times before.

Still looking for ideas. What to ye think to hanging the shelving units for the systainers on split battons so that I can quickly remove them if I need more room in the van for cabinets. I can always put the systainers into the cabinets if needs be. I have done this in the past.

If they're just 'hung' on battens, and easily removable, what happens to them in the event of a crash?

A guy I know from another forum had an accident in his van a few months ago, and it rolled in a ditch. I know everyone thinks it won't happen to them, but what if it did? Where would your removable cabinets end up then?

That's a very good point JRB. I would pu glue the split battons on the cabinet and have a full 19mm Birch ply sheet running down the side of the van and pu glue the other split batton to that. Once the cabinet is in place via the split battons I would also screw through the back of the cabinet into the 19mm birch ply that runs down the side of the van. That way everything can be removed if needs to be without causing a load of damage and in the event of a crash the cabinets wouldnt end up being thrown around the place.

You could get away with lots of holes to reduce weight [smile]

I don't store materials in the van. If I have to collect materials they go on the roof rack. The LED lights are wired directly to the interior lights.

I have a 5m length of LED strip lighting. It comes with a transformer that goes from 220v to what I presume 12v. Could I wire that into the interior lights?

That's pretty much what I brought. Just without the transformer. So I would say yes.

The floor was raised 100mm. Enough for levels, tracks, clamps. And a draw at the side door for MFS700 MFS400 and other squares

What's your longest track. I had to lift mine 170 ish so I can fit a 2700 track into the cab mine the rack in the topic " my vivaro"
