As some may know i won a prize that allows me to get some of the new festool tools for free, i am in the process of buying over my workshop space that belonged to my grandparents. It used to be a stable so parts of the walls have been "redecorated" by the cows over many decades, i would like to know what tool in the current new line up from festool would be best suited for renovating this so it can be painted.

The walls are made of concrete blocks (that my grandfather actually made himself) so they are not hollow but still relatively light but the surface is very rough. The walls have been painted over several times with white lime that has become brittle in areas, and the lower part of the walls was painted with a black varnish type thing. Probably unhealthy stuff.

I had already done some areas with an angle grinder and metal brush, it works ok apart from the enormous dust cloud created and the fact that i burned two grinders to do barely 30m2 of wall and i have 360m2 to do.

Festool now has some tools out for such tasks but i have no idea which one would be the best and with which head on it. I will probably get the CT M or H 36 E AC HD with it

I think your better of hiring someone, sandblasting seems the way to go for such a (big) job.  I think the end result will be more even then when you go at it with a wire brush.  You save yourself a lot of time and dirt eating, even with a vacuum a wire brush will send dirt flying everywhere.  Sandblasting is not so very expensive, and the job will be done a lot faster.

Not really a question to your answer, but I would seriously consider it.

Thanks for the suggestions, sandblasting could be an option but everything would need to done at once and the space would need to be empty which is practically impossible.
I guess there is no miracle solution, i was hoping there may have been one with the new renovation tools as i have no idea how or how well they work.
