Hi
I was using my Ro 90 with40 grit granit
It was working great my mistake in allowing it to get very hot as  was to aggressive
The result was that when I attempted to remove the sanding disc it separated and the backing is almost fried onto the pad I managed to get about 50% removed however it's still stuck in the middle.  Any suggestion as to what to do would be appreciated or should I just forget it and purchase a new pad the current pad has only been used about 4 times. I was going to attempt to soak it however I won't do it without guidance thx for your assistance

If the remaining hook & loop on the pad is still functional I'd try to save the pad. A new one does cost a bit of money.

Soaking in water should be no problem. I can't imagine Festool using water solvable materials on these pads.

And next time, try to be a bit less enthousiastic. [wink] You must have put quite some force on it for this to happen.

Unfortunately, it looks like the pad is going to need to be replaced. You might be able to make it work, but it won't be ideal. I'm assuming that you weren't using a dust extractor with this. A dust extractor will help to prevent this sort of overheating. I'll shoot you a PM with some specific feedback.
