I use a 36" Woodpecker Woodworking Rule and Rule Stop to set the cut length on my after-market parallel rip guides and MFT flag stop.

1. Set the cut length on the woodworking rule with the rule stop.
2. Slide the ruler upside down underneath the guide rail along the length of the Incra T-track rip guide.  The rule stop should catch on the guide rail clear splinter strip.  The other end of the rule is used to set the rip guide length stop on the Incra T-track.
3. Move the rip guide stop on the Incra T-track until it touches the end of the woodworking rule.  Do this for both rip guides.

Even though there are scales on the Incra track, this method ensures that both rip guides are set exactly the same.  The same technique works for the flag stop on the MFT fence.

I'll give that a try ,
I have all the those necessary items , the WoodPeckers rule & stop , the Seneca Parallel system & the TS55 REQ .

That method above will be Very Quick to set-up  & looks to be dead accurate  [cool]

It is very quick to set up and the accuracy amazes me every time I use it.  Brings a smile to my face when I measure the cut piece.  It's always dead nuts on the money when using this method.

Expecting my Woodpecker 18" triangle to be delivered by end of next week.  I'll use the triangle plus Qwas dogs to make sure the fence, guide rail, and MFT holes are square.  Then I'll be all set.

I knew me buying those WoodPecker's 50",36" rules & a stop was gonna be a good thing  !

I have been thinking about doing this for a while now.  It makes sense as this will be more accurate that setting the scales on each track.

I was wondering if the story stick from Woodpecker would do the same thing?

rljatl,

Thanks for posting the setup recommendation for the Seneca Parallel Guides.  I am now on my second project using the Seneca Parallel Guides and the Woodpecker rulers with stop.  Works great!  I do not use the built-in scales on the Incra track, finding them to be unnecessary in light of having the Woodpecker ruler setup. (And I am not too crazy about the scales being broken into two overlapping pieces - just too much chance of introducing an error.  However, I gues they would be fine as a check to know that the stops are placed in the right location.)

For the small projects I've done, I have found that I prefer working in metric, so I just ordered a 600mm ruler.  My goal is to have as many Woodpecker products as Slappy, provided funds hold out.  [smile]  I currently own the 36" ruler, and the 12" ruler, and the two triangle set in storage case.

I used the narrow stock adapters to rip some narrow strips.  Worked like a charm. Glad I ordered the full guide set that included the narrow adapters.

I ordered all the different sizes of the Incra plus tracks as Incrementaltools has a 10% holiday deal till Dec 31 HDAY1 is the code (Everything on the site 10% off )
those tracks are way cheaper even at full price than any other Vendor
@ 1st I had gotten  my 36" tracks at ToolKing & were 2X as much (I checked Amazon & they were about the same as ToolKing )  even with free shipping Amazon Prime ,  Incrementaltools was way way cheaper  that  10% code makes shipping even a better deal .

Thanks to this post, I now have the exact same setup.  I have become so much more accurate with the ruler with rule stop.  It's so useful for re-setup's too.  THANKS!

Hey [member=54911]rarieta[/member],

[welcome] to the FOG!  And, thanks for resurrecting this thread.  I hadn't seen it before and there is some good info here.
