I am a hobby woodworker, but I am very interested in Festool.  Unless I get really good at this stuff, I will probably never make my money back on these items.  Having said this, does Festool aver have sale prices on their tools?  I notice every vendor sells them for the same price and I never see discounts.  Does it happen?  I plan on buying my first Festool soon, either a Trion 300 or TS55.  If I am impressed enough, i will collect more.

Buy very soon, there's a price increase in a week (2/1).

It's not often that there are promotions. Presently, there are no plans for any type of promotion in the coming months. Sorry.

How much will they go up?

The Trions were discounted a while ago and they are truly excellent jigsaws. They are going up 6% on 2/1.

The new pricing vs. old pricing can be seen here. Some is up and some is down. On average, the increase is close to 8%.

Yeah the reviews are more positive than negative.  The only negative ones I hear are the rough visibility when the blade is enclosed by the dust collection system.  I read where one user likes to pull the jigsaw toward him by the pommel on top.  This may eliminate visibility problems

To be honest, the Trion is the one Festool I own where I don't even bother with dust collection.  Jigsaws just don't generate enough dust to be troublesome.  I've owned several other jigsaws and this is the best one I've found.  Visibility is not a problem without the dust shroud.

So I guess if ya buy yer festools before the price increase, that is a sale..of sorts.. :>D

sorry couldnt resist.
